b. favorable hardness
c. light viscosity
d. good liquidity
e.fine tear strength
Applications of manul molding silicon rubber :
Manul molding silicon rubber is maily used in Concrete ,soap ,Toys , ceilings ,gift, house decoration, plate engrave, heritage copying, sculpture replica, arts & crafts, resin crafts, poly resin crafts, unsaturated resin crafts, candle crafts, plastic crafts, plaster crafts , Buddhist statue, crafts cement products, plastic toys, handicrafts, large-scale sculpture, reproduction of cultural relic, shoe sole molds, and so on.
Components of manul molding silicon rubber
Manul molding silicon rubber is a kind of flowing liquid and it contains two parts. Part A is a kind of white flowing liquid and part B is the curing agent. Remember to mix part A and part B evenly, otherwise the silicon rubber will be partly solidified and this will give birth to difficulties in your final operation. What’s more, the finished moulds will meet a short life. All of these will cause a waste of silicon rubber.
Notice of manual molding silicone rubber:
Usually, we don’t advise customer to add silicone oil to the silicone to according to the shore A. If necessary, we would suggest the silicone oil added bewteen 5%~10%.

Operations of manual molding silicone rubber:
mould silicone rubber is a kind of flowing liquid, and it consists of two component, part A is aflowable liquid silicone rubber, part B is the curing agent.
Firstly, after your previous work of dealing with the origianal moldel, take some liquid silicone rubber, add 2%~3% cuing agent of the amount of silicon and mix them evenly.
Then after vacuum-pumping the mixture, you cn pour it into the mold frame. The sillicone mold will cured in 2~3 hours.
Note: the time for vacuum-pumping should be less than 3-5mins, othewise, once the silicone rubber has cross-link reaction during vacuumizing. it will not be operated.
FOQ of manual molding silicone rubber:
1. What should we do when the air bubbles appeared in the process of mold making ?

To handle this situation depends on different cases. Under the condition of an available vacuum pumping machine, mix the silicone rubber and curing agent evenly and then take it to vacuum chamber to deair. If without a vacuum pumping machine, reduce the amount of the curing agent properly. For example, change the mixing ratio of the silicone rubber and the curing agent from former 4% to 1%-2%. In this way, the pre-crosslinking time of silicone rubber will slow down, so, the air in the mold will be eliminated gradually to reduce the air bubbles.
2. What should we do when silicone rubber mold didn't cure evenly?
The reasons why the phenomenon arises are as follows:
  incorrect mixing proportion of the silicone rubber and the curing agent due to unqualified weighing;
uneven mixing of the silicone rubber and the curing agent, which may cause material wasting , and we should avoid it .
3.What should we do when the silicone rubber stick with the mold?

It arises because we didn't handle the model mold (product mold) properly. Before mold making, the model mold has to be sanded and polished, and cleaned carefully concerning the master mold with a coarse surface or to make complex molds. and then brushing a layer of release agent evenly. General release agents include Vaseline, detergent, liquid paraffin, etc. The release agents can be selected according to the different textures of various model molds.
4.What should we do if a silicone rubber mold product deforms?

The solution depends on the size of the product. In principle, the size of the product should be in direct proportion to the hardness of the silicone rubber. Regarding small or very fine detailed products, soft silicone with hardness of 10-20 shore A is required for easier demould without damaging the lines of the fine products. Regarding large products, such as products with size above 50 cm, silicone rubber with hardness of 40-50 shore A is required for non-deformation. Regarding large but fine products, silicone rubber with hardness of about 30 shore A can be used for mold making (the method is to brush a layer silicone rubber and then paste a layer of glass fiber cloth and brush another silicone rubber, the outer mold can be made of gypsum, fiberglass reinforced plastics (unsaturated resin plus glass fiber cloth) for preventing the products from deforming.
